ARMADA GAINS THREE ACCOUNTS

Armada of Montreal picked up three new clients in late December. The Quebec-based Sodisco-Howden Group has handed the agency the job of promoting the PRO Hardware banner on a national level. Armada won the business in a review against three other unspecified agencies. Within the next few days the agency will present the client with its first plans for a national mass media campaign. Armada has also landed the account of Moto International Montreal, described as the largest motorcycle dealership in Canada. The company visited a number of agencies before deciding on Armada, at least partly due to the presence of on-staff motorcycle riders, according to agency president and CEO Jacques Chalifour. Armada will break a mass-media retail campaign covering the Montreal area for the dealership this week. Finally, the agency has won an assignment from Decleor, a French line of body care products sold mainly to spas and distributed in North America by Montreal-based Prestilux Inc. Armada gained this account through a referral from a Presilux employee who had worked with the agency while at another company. The agency will launch a North American business-to-business campaign for Decleor in February or March involving trade magazine advertising and direct marketing.
