ACCENT IMPROVEMENT

Speech Science International of Toronto is launching a new Cantonese accent reduction program in Toronto called "The Bonnie Gross TOTAL REDUCTION Program" It is the brainchild of SSI founder Bonnie Gross. She is the former head of the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Scarborough General Hospital who founded SSI. The program consists of a self-help kit that will be available in the fall, and seminars on selected topics. The first three take place next week, on June 19, 21, 25. The initiative will target consumers who have a good vocabulary but find themselves unable to advance their careers because of a pronounced accent. The marketing, advertising, product development and packaging is being handled by Toronto's Justin Poy Media. JPM is began advertising the seminars this week in the Ming Pao Daily News and The Financial Post.
