ROLLERBLADE TV PSA

Rollerblade, Inc., of Minnetonka, Minnesota launched a Canadian campaign recently to promote safe in-line skating. A TV PSA uses humor to warn skaters about the importance of wearing protective equipment. Both cats and in-line skaters are shown flying through the air during the commercial. The message is that while felines always land on their feet, in-line skaters often don't. The spot was created by Carmichael Lynch of Minneapolis, Minnesota, the same agency that created Rollerblade's U.S. TV campaign. In addition to the televised public service ads, the campaign uses ads in community newspapers and entertainment weeklies such as Toronto's NOW Magazine. Rollerblade's products are distributed in Canada by Benetton Sportsystem Canada Inc.
