GENESIS LAUNCHES DIRECT RESPONSE DIVISION

Toronto-based Genesis Media has launched a new direct response marketing division called The Direct Company. The launch of the new division followed Genesis' decision to recognize its growing DR group, which counted Dell Computers and Sprint Canada among its clients, as a separate division, explained Bruce Claassen, president and CEO of Genesis Media. Jacqueline Murdoch has been appointed managing director. Most recently she was media director at NextMedia. The new division will operate from Genesis's Toronto office and offer both existing and new clients measurement and metrics capabilities specific to the direct response area.
