ANNO DOMINI BOUGHT, RE-NAMED

Toronto design firm Anno Domini has been acquired by the Federov Group and re-named Aegis. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Toronto-based Federov is a holding company which owns marketing communications companies in several countries. Its interests in Canada are represented by director Greg Salmela, who announced the acquisition of Anno Domini on Tuesday. Aegis follows a marketing approach it calls Creative Change Management, which brings together "the inspiration of creativity and the discipline of philosophical thought in order to meet the challenges of strategic creative communications." Anno Domini's creative director Michael Dila will head Aegis as president. The account roster of Aegis includes long-term client TD Bank Financial Group and new clients EC-Gate and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. Public relations for Aegis are handled by Courtney Public Relations Group of Toronto.
