MCDONALD'S BUSINESS ON THE MENU AT COSSETTE
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited has consolidated its $50 million English Canada advertising business with one agency, Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto and Halifax. Previously the account was split between Cossette, Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto and Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver. Cossette alone will now manage McDonald's English regional and English national advertising businesses. McDonald's launched a review of trio of incumbent agencies late last month. V&B and PJ DDB had teamed together to pitch the business. The appointment extends McDonald's relationship with Cossette, which also handles McDonald's marketing and advertising needs in Quebec. The agency switch is scheduled to take effect in the new year.
