DAIMLERCHRYSLER PARKS ACCOUNT AT PENTAMARK
By Adnews Staff
DaimlerChrysler Corporation's appointment of BBDO Worldwide has concluded a two-month agency review to consolidate all brand and corporate advertising with one agency. In September, Auburn Hills, Michigan-based DaimlerChrysler invited its two major agencies, BBDO and FCB Worldwide to submit proposals for the consolidated business. FCB had previously managed the company's Chrysler, Jeep and corporate brand advertising while BBDO handled Dodge brand advertising. BBDO will manage the multi-billion dollar account through a new division, called PentaMark Worldwide, devoted solely to the Chrysler business. Media will continue to be handled by PentaCom in North America and DCMA internationally. A 180-day transition period is planned to transfer existing projects to the new agency.
