Toronto-based Burger King Restaurants of Canada is supporting the launch of Rugrats In Paris - The Movie with an in-restaurant promotion. Nickelodeon Movies/Paramount Pictures is releasing the movie nationwide Nov. 17. Beginning Nov. 13, consumers who visit a participating Burger King restaurant across Canada will receive one of eight toys from the movie with each Big Kids Meal and Kids Meal purchase. The toys can be played with individually or connected together to create "EuroReptarland," the amusement part featured in the movie. Customers can also buy one of four Rugrats "ChatBack" watches with the purchase of any Value Meal. The specially created watches feature two Rugrats characters that have a "conversation" with each other. Each character says one of two possible phrases. In-stores, Burger King customers can also participate in a sweepstakes contest to win a trip for four to Paris. Advertising support for the Rugrats in Paris - The Movie promotion, running until Dec. 10, will include television, radio and in-restaurant POP. The TV and radio spots were created by Lowe Lintas & Partners of New York and adapted for the Canadian market by Ammirati Puris of Toronto. POP materials were created by Akone Marketing of Irvine, CA and adapted for the Canadian market by Kickstart Marketing of Toronto. Public relations for Burger King Restaurants of Canada are handled by Budman & Associates of Toronto.
