SEARS CARDHOLDERS CHARGE TICKETMASTER PURCHASES

A new alliance between Sears and Ticketmaster will allow the retailer's 8.9 million cardholders to make entertainment purchases through Ticketmaster using their Sears card. Sears customers can purchase tickets for concerts, sports, family entertainment and performing arts events using their Sears card either in person, by phone or via the Internet at http://www.ticketmaster.ca. For every purchase made, cardholders will also receive Sears Club points for every dollar spent. To promote the new alliance, Sears included inserts in its October credit statements and is running print ads in newspapers. Ticketmaster is promoting the new alliance with ads on the back of tickets and with a phone recording when customers call to order tickets. Sears Canada operates similar alliances with Bell Mobility, Bell World, AMJ Campbell Van Lines, Sympatico, Shell Canada, All-Purpose Realty and Choice Hotels Canada.
