MEDBROADCAST LAUNCHES NATIONAL BRAND AWARENESS EFFORT

Vancouver-based Medbroadcast Corporation, operators of the online health Web site <http://www.medbroadcast.com>, has launched the first phase of a new year long advertising campaign. The national brand awareness effort is designed to raise the profile of the company by taking advantage of its partnership with CanWest Global Communications Corp. The first phase includes sponsorship opportunities and closed caption announcements on Global Ontario, CKVU Vancouver and specialty station Prime TV. In January, advertising activities will expand to include 30-second TV commercials on Global's national network and an online marketing component on Globaltv.com Web sites in major markets across Canada. Dr. Michael Pezim, Medbroadcast chairman and CEO, said in a release, access to Global's network is one of the benefits of the company's partnership with CanWest and Medbroadcast was using the opportunity for a marketing campaign to raise its profile.
