HMV.COM SIGNS AD AGREEMENT WITH 24/7 MEDIA

HMV.com has signed an advertising sales agreement with 24/7 Media Canada Inc. Both companies are based in Toronto. 24/7 will manage advertising for HMV's weekly newsletter, HMV.communique. HMV had worked with 24/7 Media in the past, said Frank Koblun, Internet director for HMV.com. HMV.com recently decided to hand the management of the newsletter's advertising to an external company because it did not have the resources to dedicate to it. 24/7 got the job based on its previous relationship, Koblun said. HMV.communique is sent to over 60,000 subscribers. It is a weekly update regarding contests, new releases, sales, interviews and other information. As a result of this agreement, 24/7 Media has increased the total number of permission-based email addresses under its management to over two million.
