GINGERBREAD AND EGGNOG ON THE MENU AT STARBUCKS

Starbucks Coffee Company is preparing for the upcoming holiday season with the return of its Gingerbread and Eggnog Lattes. The annual holiday beverages are rolling out in-stores beginning November 15 and are being supported with advertising and public relations activities. Complimenting the PR campaign, from GCI Group of Toronto, is a direct mail push to Starbucks customers, elevator advertising in the Toronto market and an insert in the December issue of Toronto Life magazine. The creative promoting the holiday Lattes was designed in-house by Seattle, WA-based Starbucks and features the tagline 'Wonderful. Wintry. Warmth." Adaptation for the Canadian market was done by Echo Advertising & Marketing Inc. of Toronto. In-store POP materials, developed jointly by Echo and Starbucks, will not only promote the holiday Lattes but also the return of Starbucks Christmas Blend. The annual Christmas blend, also available as Holiday Blend, combines Indonesian and Latin American coffees.
