A.L. VAN HOUTTE PROMOTES EXPANDED ONTARIO PRESENCE

Montreal-based coffee company A.L. Van Houtte is airing a province-wide radio campaign to promote its increased presence in Ontario. Currently Van Houtte's coffees are available in supermarkets and Great Canadian Bagel locations. In addition to expanding its products' retail availability to over 300 Ontario supermarkets, its affiliate coffee service companies, Red Carpet and Selena, will adopt Van Houtte's Caffe Mondo line as their main brand. The Caffe Mondo line includes eight flavors of coffee. The increased retail presence in Ontario is part of Van Houtte attempt to take a leadership position in the retail gourmet coffee sector, said Danielle Léger, public relations brand coordinator at Van Houtte. The radio spots profile Van Houtte's master roaster Richard Clermont and describe how the company has been roasting coffee for 81 years. Radio advertising is being supported with public and media relations. Advertising for Van Houtte is handled by Diesel Marketing of Montreal. Public relations are handled by Apex Public Relations of Toronto.
