ALCAN ROLLS OUT GLOBAL CAMPAIGN WITH "IMAGINATION MATERIALIZED" THEME

With the merger between Alcan of Montreal and Algroup of Switzerland complete, Alcan is rolling out a print campaign in fifteen countries promoting the two firms becoming one. The five-week campaign will include a series of executions in major newspapers and magazines using the theme "Imagination Materialized." Marc Osborne, director of external communications for Alcan, said the campaign also promotes the fact that Alcan has entered the packaging industry as a result of the merger, becoming what he called "a world leader" in aluminum and packaging. The advertising was created by PNMD of Montreal.
