WORKOPOLIS GOES TO WORK EXPANDING JOB SITE OFFERINGS
By Adnews Staff
Less than a year after it launched, online job site Workopolis is expanding to offer services in the B2B area. A new banner called Workopolis E-cruiting Solutions, under which Workopolis will introduce a variety of new applications and products, has been added to the site. The new services offered under the banner will help Canadian companies and recruiters take advantage of Internet recruiting. The first service introduced is a tool called Screening Room. Kim Peters, president of Workopolis said, Screening Room is home to the site's application tracking and candidate management tool which filters and shortlists applications and resumes for recruiters. The expansion of the site comes as Workopolis begins to change its focus, having accomplished its initial goal of providing an audience for its job site, Peters said. The new services will be incorporated into the job site's current advertising from Toronto's Ranscombe & Co. and will be included in Workopolis' 2001 advertising campaign as well. Public relations for Workopolis is handled by Environics Communications, also of Toronto.
