ABC HOLDING "FAX AUCTION"
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based ABC Canada Literacy Foundation is giving marketing and advertising professionals who missed its recent Gutenberg Fair another opportunity to bid on media space at 65% off the rate card value. The organization announced it will hold a "fax auction" this Friday to auction off the remaining newspaper, magazine and out-of-home media space it still has available. ABC's first annual Gutenberg Fair took place last week with advertisers, marketers, corporations and media management companies participating. Teams of four or eight players bid on available media space with their Gutenberg Bucks or GUTE$. Interactive games allowed players to increase their GUTE$. The upcoming "fax auction" will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Advertising agencies and companies in the Toronto area were faxed invitations and information materials including bidding forms on Monday. The first participant to send in their bids on Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. will win the media space at the reduced rate. Additional professionals interested in participating can log onto ABC's Web site <http://www.abc-canada.org> for more information or contact ABC Canada. A notice and invoice will be faxed to the winning participants to confirm they have won the media.
