JERGENS INTRODUCES NEWEST MOISTURIZER

Jergens Canada of Mississauga, Ont. launched a print campaign earlier this month for its Shower-Active Moisturizer. The product was put on the North American market by the U.S. parent firm in September with a $12-million(US) ad budget. The skin cream is applied in the shower and then rinsed off. Canadian advertising was created in-house. Print advertising will begin next year in the U.S. where TV commercials began running in mid-October. Normally Jergens uses U.S. creative for Canada, localized by the Mississauga office. This time it had the Canadian print work created in Canada because it wanted to start advertising the product before next year. Advertising in the U.S. is done by Suissa-Miller of Santa Monica, California.
