MERGER OF OPERATIONS CREATES FUTUREBRAND CANADA

New York-based global branding consultancy FutureBrand has merged its Canadian operations to create FutureBrand Canada. Describing itself as the largest corporate and consumer branding company in Canada, FutureBrand Canada combines digital branding company FutureBrandHypermedia with recently acquired Dollery Rudman Freibauer, a brand development agency, both of Toronto. FutureBrand Canada will be based in Toronto, have a staff of 40 and expected annual revenues of $10 million. The client roster includes Hudson's Bay Company, Air Canada, Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Royal Bank of Canada, Bell Canada and Kellogg's. Ed Freibauer, formerly managing partner at Dollery Rudman Freibauer, has been appointed managing director of FutureBrand Canada, heading the Canadian operation. No client conflicts arose as a result of the merger. FutureBrand, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies, acquired Dollery Rudman Freibauer on September 22, 2000. Financial details were not disclosed.
