WWFE AND TACO BELL FORM TAG TEAM FOR NEW CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Canada Inc. has teamed up with the Mexican-style fast food chain Taco Bell Canada for a marketing campaign that will begin October 16. Both companies are based in Toronto. The cross promotion will include television and radio commercials, in-restaurant materials and prize pack give-aways. It will also be promoted on all WWFE programs broadcast in Canada including RAW IS WAR, Sunday Night Heat, LiveWire and Metal. WWFE performer Chris Jericho will be featured in the 30-second television and radio spots. In-restaurants, a co-branded six-foot poster of Jericho and WWFE performers the Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit will be available for purchase. Customers will also receive a Taco Bell "Super Slam" cup with the purchase of a "Super Slam" combo meal. Radio spots will promote the giveaway of 150 WWFE prize packs and the chance to win a trip to WWFE's Royal Rumble event in Louisiana in January. The campaign will be supported with an in-restaurant appearance and autograph session by Jericho on October 28 in Toronto. Taco Bell operates 125 locations across Canada. Advertising, from TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto, is scheduled to run for six-weeks.
