AXA BREAKS FIRST MAJOR AD EFFORT

Montreal-based AXA Canada, providers of property, casualty, and life insurance as well as financial services, has commenced its first major advertising initiative. The national campaign is designed to increase public awareness of AXA and its broker network. Over 1,000 billboards, six 3-D billboards and a 30-second television commercial will be in use from mid-September until November 5. The outdoor segment will be seen in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. The television commercial will run on the TSN, CBC Newsworld, RDS and RDI networks. "We insure your treasures, great and small" is the message AXA is communicating to consumers, suggesting that as insurers of castles, satellites and Van Goghs, the company is also well positioned to insure consumer's "smaller" items. A promotional Web site at <http://www.axa.ca/treasure> has also been set up to allow visitors to view the new ads, learn more about AXA, access the company's broker network and participate in an online "Fly Away with AXA" contest. Advertising for AXA Canada is done by Saint-Jacques Vallée Young & Rubicam of Montreal.
