XEROX LAUNCHES 'SMARTER BREED' OF PRINTERS
By Adnews Staff
Xerox Canada, based in Toronto, has launched an ad campaign for its latest line of inkjet printers. The advertising effort is part of a US$200 million worldwide marketing campaign that is targeting the small office/home office customer. The campaign, created by a Young & Rubicam team from the U.S., Canada and London, features Louisiana artist George Rodrigue's "Blue Dog" image. Rodrigue's well-known image is based on his own dog Tiffany and has been used in campaigns for Absolut Vodka as well as on the set of the television sitcom Friends. In Canada, the campaign includes print, television, radio, outdoor and online advertising promoting the new M series line of inkjet printers as "A Smarter Breed of Inkjet Printer." Advertising in the Canadian market is scheduled to run until the end of the year.
