OPTICOM MERGES WITH MARKETING STORE

Opticom Promotion Group of Mississauga, Ontario has merged its operations with The Marketing Store Worldwide of Toronto. Financial details were not disclosed. Opticom was founded in 1982. The shop of six employees focused on the consumer packaged goods area, servicing clients including Unilever, Nestle, Cadbury and Ferrero. Peter Osicka, former president and creative director at Opticom, joins TMSW as senior vice president of promotions, with a brief to lead and strengthen TMSW's consumer packaged goods group. No client conflicts arose as a result of the merger. In addition to Osicka, one additional Opticom employee joins TMSW, although according to Osicka, all were offered positions.
