APPLE FEATURES SIMPLICITY

Apple Canada launched a campaign this week that focuses on how easy it is to use its products, as well as on their power and compatibility with other devices. Using brochures, print, radio and TV, the campaign features the Macintosh Performa, Power Macintosh and the Macintosh PowerBook, as well as Stylewriter 1200, 2400 and the LaserWriter 4/600 PS printers. The TV ads were created by BBDO Worldwide's Los Angeles office. The rest of the campaign was done by the agency's Toronto office. In addition, the California-based parent company put two new Performa models on the North American market earlier this month, called the 5300CD and 6300CD. The machines have the 100 megahertz PowerPC 603e microprocessor and quad-speed CD-ROM drive. Users can watch TV on the computer screen, as well as a video from a VCR or camcorder.
