TOWN SHOES CONSOLIDATES ACCOUNT

Toronto-based Town Shoes Ltd. moved its account this week over to Prism Communications in Toronto. Prism won the business in a competition with three other agencies. The company operates under Town Shoes and The Shoe Company banners. Montana Steele Advertising of Toronto previously had The Shoe Company business, and Bates O'Rourke of Toronto had the Town Shoes account. The company was originally reviewing only The Shoe Company, but decided to consolidate the accounts so it would be a substantial piece of business, operations vice-president Alan Simpson told Adnews this week. Budget is $1.5 million to $2 million. A campaign will be launched next spring. Town Shoes has 18 outlets under The Shoe Company banner and 18 under the Town Shoes name.
