MAXXCOM THREE FOR THREE

Toronto-based marketing communications organization Maxxcom Inc. has made its third agency partner acquisition in the last sixty days. Maxxcom's New York subsidiary Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners has acquired a majority interest in Chinnici Direct, a direct marketing agency based in that same city. Chinnici, which counts Chase Manhattan Bank, Sothebys and NFL Sunday Ticket among its clients, brings estimated billings for 2000 of $20 million to Margeotes/Fertitta. Chinnici operations will be combined with M/F+P's existing direct marketing group, Pavlika Group, to form a combined entity called Pavlika Chinnici Direct, to be a division of Margeotes/Fertitta. The new company will have over 60 employees and will offer services such as creative and strategic development and direct response media planning and buying. Beverley Morden, Maxxcom's president and chief executive, said the company plans to continue its aggressive growth strategy across North America as well as internationally. The organization is looking to acquire firms that offer expertise in a variety of marketing communication disciplines. Financial details were not disclosed
