Toronto-based media company CHUM Limited is purchasing the Lindsay, Ontario radio station CKLY-FM (Y-92-FM). Financial details were not disclosed. The purchase will expand the company's presence in the Central Ontario region. Currently CHUM operates two Peterborough, Ontario stations: CKPT and CKQM-FM (Country 105). The purchase still requires approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. Steve Fawcett, general manager for CKPT and CKQM-FM, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of CKLY-FM, which is expected to maintain its services in the Lindsay region.
