ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS BLOWS LID ON CONSPIRACY THEORY
By Adnews Staff
Rogers AT&T Wireless of Toronto is promoting its new Your Plan wireless package with a new advertising campaign. The package and supporting ad campaign progresses on the theme that no two people are the same. The Your Plan package allows Canadians to build their own wireless phone packages through three steps. Beginning with a $10 per month base plan, a customer first chooses airtime options, then chooses either a monthly or yearly subscription, and finally choses enhanced services options such as call display, call forwarding, call waiting, voice mail, and text and email messaging. National television, radio and print advertising broke yesterday from MacLaren McCann of Toronto. The creative plays on the idea that there is a conspiracy to cover up the fact that all Canadians are unique. The ads will also highlight that Rogers AT&T Wireless treats customers as individuals. MacLaren's sister agency, Marketel of Montreal, is handling advertising for the Quebec market. The campaign is scheduled to run until mid-November.
