TRIMARK/AIM FUNDS CONCLUDES AGENCY REVIEW

AIM Funds Management Inc. of Toronto has hired Groupaction of Montreal as its new national creative advertising agency. Groupaction won the estimated $1 million account following an agency review that originally began in January but was put on hold when Trimark Investments announced plans to merge with AIM. Previously Leo Burnett of Toronto handled Trimark's advertising. Groupaction was shortlisted for the account with Palmer Jarvis DDB, which previously handled AIM's advertising, and Bensimon Byrne D'Arcy. Media planning and buying for AIM Funds Management will continue to be handled by Starcom Worldwide of Toronto.
