IBM NOT AFRAID TO DROP THINKPAD NOTEBOOK
By Adnews Staff
In promoting its new A20 and T20 ThinkPad notebooks, IBM Canada Ltd. of Markham, Ontario is stressing the machines' outer shell, made with a titanium composite designed to protect the components from damage. The titanium composite is also designed to make the machines lighter. The A20 and T20 lines, which are first from IBM to include a titanium shell, also feature a built-in light on the top of the lid to assist users in low light conditions, and a button that brings up how-to information about the computer. The A20 and T20 ThinkPad lines are being supported with print ads in business and trade magazines. Promotion of the notebooks is also being incorporated into IBM's national newspaper advertising. Ogilvy & Mather and MarketingDrive Worldwide Canada are jointly handling advertising.
