MIKE BULLARD TEAMS WITH WRESTLERS IN NEW CAMPAIGN

A new advertising campaign to promote the WWF Powerslam package from Toronto-based satellite television company Bell ExpressVu features comedian Mike Bullard and WWF superstars Edge and Christian. The Powerslam package offers a free Bell ExpressVu satellite system to new subscribers who purchase 12 WWF pay-per-view events. The campaign is part of a co-promotion agreement between Toronto-based World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Canada Inc. and Bell ExpressVu entered into in February of this year. The agreement includes the sponsorship of WWF live-events as well as advertising on television and the WWFCanada.com website. Carl DeMarco, president of WWFE Canada, called the arrangement with Bell ExpressVu a natural fit. "Coupling his (Bullard's) popularity and humor with the popularity of our WWF Superstars will create a great deal on interest from our fans," he said. The first of two television commercials included in the campaign launched on WWF's television show Raw is War in mid-July. The second spot will debut at the end of August. The spots will run in-rotation until the end of the year. Bullard signed a one-year endorsement deal with Bell ExpressVu earlier this year. As the company's official spokesperson, Bullard appears in the company's advertising and makes personal appearances on behalf of Bell ExpressVu. The new spots were written by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto and were produced by Big Bang Studios & MJM Productions of Hamilton, Ontario.
