HALLMARK LAUNCHES CHINESE LANGUAGE GREETING CARDS
By Adnews Staff
Greeting card manufacturer Hallmark Canada, based in Willowdale, Ontario, is honoring Chinese Canadians with a new line of Chinese language greeting cards. Featuring artwork that reflects Chinese cultural beliefs and virtues, the line is debuting with over 120 designs priced between $2.95 and $4.95. The cards are bilingual, featuring both English and Chinese greetings and include the Hallmark Chinese logo on the back. Hallmark initially launched the new line in select locations in Ontario and British Columbia because the majority of Canada's Chinese population live in these markets. Extensions to the line, which features birthday, get well, thank you, good luck, congratulations, baby, wedding and anniversary cards, will include holiday 2000 and Valentine's Day 2001 greeting cards. Hallmark's new line of Chinese language cards are being supported with in-store materials. Public relations for Hallmark is handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
