SNAPPLE LAUNCHES CHILLING NEW CAMPAIGN

Transit commuters in Toronto will get a taste of winter in July during Snapple's new summer ad campaign. Concord, Ontario-based The Perrier Group of Canada, distributor and marketer of the Snapple brand in Canada, has installed five air-conditioned transit shelters in the Toronto market as part of the eight-week campaign. The shelters' exteriors depict Snapple's new yellow and orange checkerboard graphics. Inside, full-size replica coolers display the range of Snapple flavors and products. The campaign also includes four 30-second radio commercials running on Toronto's Kiss 92 FM and a national contest with MuchMusic. Elaine Barr, brand manager at Snapple Canada, said the primary audience for the campaign is the 12-24 year-old age group with a focus on the 18-24 year-old demographic. Advertising for Snapple is done by Turbulence Communications of Toronto. The transit portion of the campaign is running through Mediacom Inc., also of Toronto.
