PANASONIC'S BIG PICTURE ON THE MOVE

Panasonic Canada Inc.'s superboard is moving. The 40 x 68 foot display has been located on the north side of Toronto's Gardiner Expressway by the Humber River for the past 12 years. Toronto-based Gallop & Gallop has been in the process of dismantling, restoring and re-locating the board since April. The board will be up at a new spot along the Gardiner in the region of Exhibition Place on about August 4. Ian Kilvert, director of communications at Panasonic Canada, said the board will debut new creative promoting Panasonic's family radio service devices when it goes back up. Kilvert said the company is looking forward to seeing the impact of the sign at the new location and said it plans to continue advertising with Gallop for the moment. Gallop will also install a video board on the other side of the sign. The 22 x 32 foot screen will be supplied by Tribar Industries Ltd. of Toronto. Tribar will own the rights to sell advertising on that side of the sign.
