HOLMES AND LEE DESIGNS SISU

Toronto-based Holmes & Lee has established a new design company called Sisu, in partnership with its new design director Pia Nummi. Sisu will offer services such as corporate identity, communications and package design. Working with Holmes & Lee's Internet company, Competitive Reality, Sisu will also offer Web site design services. The name is Finnish for "spirit and courage." Prior to joining Holmes & Lee this spring, Nummi managed graphic design for Club Monaco Inc. "Design as a communications discipline has always been something we wanted to incorporate into our integrated product offering," said John Lee, president of Holmes & Lee. "We now have the Internet Group and, with Sisu, we have already started structuring a top flight design group." Sisu will seek new business and provide services to existing Holmes & Lee clients.
