NATIONAL POST ONLINE CREATES NEW LOOK
By Adnews Staff
National Post Online re-launched its Web site (http://www.nationalpost.com) yesterday with a new look and added features. Marcie Sayiner, senior marketing and sales strategist at National Post Online, said the re-launch is the kick-off to a summer-long campaign during which the site will announce new partners and introduce an email push service to subscribers. One new feature is a page which lists all the headlines on the site. Also, some existing features, including constantly updated business news and a 60-day archive search, have been made more prominent. The look of the site has also been altered. The yellow background, which Sayiner noted was not popular among readers, is gone. The format is also wider. Promoting the re-launch of the site is a national marketing campaign from Toronto-based Fresh Advertising. Outdoor advertising, radio spots, prints ads in magazines and newspapers and online promotion will be supported with public relations activities from Michael Communications of Toronto. The campaing, scheduled to run until the end of the year, will include a strong push in the first 5-6 weeks. The re-design of the site was done in-house.
