DAYS INN HAS FAITH IN NEW PROMOTION

A summer promotion for Toronto-based hotel chain Days Inns-Canada hopes to give guests new faith. The "Days Inn Never Sounded So Good" promotion, running from June 1 to August 31, will give guests who stay a total of four nights at any Days Inns Canada location a copy of singer Faith Hill's latest CD, "Breathe". In addition, guests who stay at a Days Inn during the summer months will be eligible to win a prize package consisting of four concert tickets and backstage passes for a Faith Hill concert, plus round trip airline tickets and two nights accommodation at a Days Inn. Melissa Evans, marketing manager for Days Inns-Canada, said the promotion is meant to appeal to families, particularly the mother of the family, who often makes the decisions when it comes to travelling. Days Inns-Canada is supporting its summer promotion with a national radio spot from Toronto-based Bluemoon Productions Inc. and with collateral materials designed by Vectra Marketing Group Inc. of Richmond Hill, Ontario. Public relations are being handled in-house by Days Inns-Canada, while the media buy is being handled by The Media Company of Toronto.
