Toronto-based agencythreepointzero has added the Digital World Cup to its client roster after picking up the agency-of-record title for the Toronto-based initiative. Digital World Cup is an online professional video game league where players can log on and compete for prize money. Partnering with Digital World Cup is Psygnosis, Sony Entertainment Europe's PC gaming division, to create games for the Digital World Cup. The first game to launch as part of the league will be the Digital World Cup of Golf. Additional games are expected to be rolled out on a regular basis once the first game debuts in September. agencythreepointzero will be supporting the launch of the Digital World Cup, expected to focus on the U.S. market, with television, print, radio, outdoor and online advertising. Media planning and buying will be handled by Initiative Media.
