SKI RESORT LAUNCHES LOCAL ADS

Toronto-based LA Ads is telling Vancouverites to stay home. The agency launched a campaign recently for Grouse Mountain the ski resort that overlooks Vancouver. The message "Play in your own backyard" is being delivered on billboards and transit shelters, as well as in print and radio ads. Point-of-sale, direct mail and brochures will be used at ski shows and local events. The ads point out all the activities Grouse has to offer: skiing, snow boarding, sleigh rides, helicopter rides and winter carnivals. They also talk about more relaxing pleasures such as the restaurants and bars, and views of the city, ocean and mountain.
