KELLOGG ENERGIZES VECTOR WITH NEW SPOT

Toronto-based Kellogg Canada is gearing up for the NBA playoffs with the launch of a new television commercial promoting its meal replacement product VECTOR. The new spot features action footage of the Toronto Raptors and player Vince Carter taken from the recent NBA All Star Game slam dunk competition. The tag line is "The Official Fuel of Vince Carter Fans - Because You Need Energy Just to Watch the Guy." The English-only spot is scheduled to run nationally for the next few weeks. Kellogg first launched its VECTOR brand last April. The product has whole wheat, rice flakes, granola oat and soy protein and is served with milk but is not classified as a cereal. Advertising for Kellogg Canada is done by Leo Burnett Company Ltd. Public relations is handled by Media Profile. Both are based in Toronto.
