INPRISE /BORLAND FIRST SPONSOR OF GLOBAL'S DOT.SPOT CONCEPT

Inprise (Canada) Inc., formerly Borland Canada, became the first sponsor of Global TV's new Dot.Spot concept last night when the Markham, Ontario-based company launched a series of six, five-second spots. The spots, running during Global's prime time lineup every half hour from eight to eleven p.m., feature Imprise's Web site <http://www.borland.ca> and the tagline "Shaping Things To.com". Created by Designworks of Toronto, the ads mark the first time Imprise has used television advertising in Canada. Imprise is scheduled to run its series of television spots again tonight and tomorrow night. PR for Inprise is handled by The Communications Group Inc. of Toronto.
