SPRINT CANADA CONNECTS WITH BBDO CANADA

Toronto-based Sprint Canada has tapped the Toronto office of BBDO Canada to handle its residential long distance advertising and business-to-business communication activities. The appointment follows an agency review Sprint Canada launched in January after ending its five-year relationship with incumbent Grey Canada. Following Sprint's split with Grey, the company reassigned parts of its residential advertising business to other agencies on its roster. Toronto shops Vickers and Benson Direct Interactive was picked to handle advertising for Sprint Canada's Internet product, THE MOST online, and Response Innovations was assigned Sprint's local services advertising. Agencies competing for the residential ad business and business-to-business activities were not revealed.
