DRAFTWORLDWIDE BUYS INTO AG WORLDWIDE

DraftWorldwide of Chicago, a member of the Interpublic Group of Companies, has acquired a majority stake in New York-based AG Worldwide and its subsidiary Surge Interactive. AG will retain its own brand identity, while AG chairman and executive creative director Peter Arnell will join the executive committee of DraftWorldwide. The current management of AG is expected to remain intact. Through this acquisition, DraftWorldwide looks to bolster its ability to offer interactive strategy and web design and promotion services. Said Howard Draft, chairman and CEO of DraftWorldwide, "This powerful coalition of creative marketing sophistication provides integrated and efficient brand building, business development and multimedia marketing solutions to clients who previously would have needed to seek out a number of shops to fulfill their brand marketing and advertising needs." AG's client list includes Samsung Group, Polaroid, Consolidated Edison, Universal Music Group, Indulge.com, Playboy Enterprises Inc. and Rockport. DraftWorldwide's roster includes the U.S. Postal Service, American Express, General Motors, Kellogg's and Stamps.com.
