DAYS INNS AND CLOROX OFFER CLEAN GETAWAY

Days Inns - Canada and The Clorox Company of Canada Ltd. will offer consumers a "Clean Getaway" in a new national on-pack instant-win promotion. Buyers of Pine-Sol household cleaner will get the chance to instantly win one of 250 two-night stays at any Days Inn in Canada or the grand prize of a Honda CRV LX. Over 1.2 million specially-marked bottles of Pine-Sol will bear a "magic window" which will reveal to consumers whether or not they have won. "Both Days Inn and Pine-Sol share a common target consumer so the promotion is a natural fit for us, giving us exposure to non-traditional retail channels," said Days Inn - Canada marketing manager Melissa Evans. The promotion will run from April to June of this year, supported by point-of-purchase material in grocery, drug, convenience and mass merchandise stores across the country, as well as banner advertisements on the Life Network, Canal Vie and HGTV. The promotion will be executed by Clorox's promotional agency, Glavin & Associates Marketing Services.
