SQUARE ONE ANNOUNCES NEW AGENCY ROSTER

Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ontario has announced the appointment of two new agencies-of-record, Young & Rubicam and Fruitman Communications Group Inc. Toronto-based Young & Rubicam will be responsible for the shopping centre's creative and media buying accounts. Y&R was awarded the account over two other shortlisted agencies, Echo Advertising and Holmes & Lee. The incumbent on the account was Scott Thornley + Company of Toronto. Fruitman Communication, who has worked with a number of Canada's shopping centres including Yorkdale and Braemar Canada, provides public and media relations, reputation management and crisis communication services. "In selecting a PR agency, we have known of Ruby Fruitman's public relations and media expertise for some time, her extensive past experience working with shopping centres will prove to be a tremendous asset in all of our public, media and retailer relations efforts," Linda Keen-Lausberg, Square One's director of marketing said in a release. Previously Square One worked with a number of public relation agencies on a project basis. Square One Shopping Centre is owned by Toronto-based OMERS Realty Corporation.
