COHN & WOLFE ANNOUNCES FIVE NEW WINS, UNVEILS NEW LOOK FOR TECH PRACTICE

Toronto-based Cohn & Wolfe has announced five new account wins. The Technology Practice has landed two new accounts, the first of which is Arc Media Inc. of Toronto, a multimedia content publisher. The agency will raise Arc Media's profile through ongoing partnership marketing, media relations and cross promotion. Joining Arc Media on the technology practice roster is Toronto-based Salesdriver.com, a provider of Internet-based performance incentive services. Cohn & Wolfe will be managing the company's public and media relation activities. The agency's Healthcare Practice has begun work for Q-Med Inc. of Toronto and the Canadian Rheumatology Association after winning each account in competitions with unconfirmed numbers of agencies. Q-Med Inc. is the Canadian subsidiary of Q-Med AB, a Swedish company that markets medical implants to physicians and clinics, while the CRA represents 280 rheumatologists across the country. Cohn & Wolfe will handle Q-Med's media and public relations activities as well as new product launches and has started an ongoing communications services program for the CRA. The agency's Consumer Marketing Practice is toasting its Corby Distilleries Ltd. account win. The Toronto-based importer of wines and spirits has hired Cohn & Wolfe to help handle the company's new product launches. In addition to the recent account wins, the agency has unveiled a new logo for its technology practice. The logo features the agency's name with the word "technology" underneath it, spelled tech·knowledge with the last "e" circled as in the @ character. Agency president Carol Panasiuk said the new logo reflects what the agency is and what it can do for its clients. The logo was created the in-house by the technology practice team.
