STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES PICKS UP TWO

Toronto-based public relations agency Strategic Objectives has had a busy New Year so far. Since the end of December the agency has picked up two new accounts, an international industry award and some new staff. Joining the client roster of the agency is Pfizer Canada Inc.'s Consumer Health Care Division. The Kirkland, Quebec-based company markets over-the-counter brands such as Visine, Desitin and Reactine. The PR agency-of-record appointment was handed to Strategic through a referral from an outside contact. XDL Intervest Capital Corp. of Toronto has also named Strategic its PR agency-of-record after receiving a referral from an existing Strategic client. Strategic also recently won the Communicator Awards' Crystal Award of Excellence for an internal video it produced commemorating Harvey's 40th anniversary. On the staff side, Jil Amadio has joined the agency as account manager. She will be working on the agency's heath and beauty and consumer products accounts. Amadio joins the agency from M.A.C. Cosmetics where she was global communications manager. Also, Leslie Kaufman has been promoted from account manager to account director and Catherine Heroux is promoted from consultant to senior consultant. Stacey Flowers has joined Strategic's internship program. Flowers is a post-graduate student in communications at Seneca College and will be with the agency for 13 weeks.
