VICKERS & BENSON LEADS THE WAY

Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. of Toronto knows which way to go. The agency has been appointed United Way of Greater Toronto's pro bono agency-of-record. The appointment marks V&B's 75th anniversary. V&B will work with United Way for a two year period, developing and implementing advertising for its annual fundraising campaigns and for its campaign video. V&B will also be working with United Way to create an ethnic marketing campaign targeting Toronto's South Asian communities. According to United Way's vice president of marketing and communications, Judith John, she was impressed with creative V&B had done for not-for-profit clients such as the Rape Crisis Centre and Alcohol and Drug Concerns. V&B was looking for a unique way to mark its 75 anniversary last fall and felt the timing was right.
The agency was in the midst of its internal United Way fundraising campaign and felt this would give them a chance to give something back to the community.
