GREEN LINE PROMOTES MAKING MONEY, NOT DREAMING ABOUT IT

Green Line Mutual Funds, the mutual fund arm of TD Bank, is telling Canadians to stop dreaming when it comes to get-rich fantasies. The company is launching a new advertising campaign that centres around a "Stop Dreaming" theme and features the tagline "Stop Dreaming About Money. Start Making It." The campaign, from Toronto-based Gee, Jeffery and Partners, launched mid-January. Two 30-second television spots are in rotation. The first, called "Lottery", depicts a middle-aged couple discovering they have just won the lottery before the spot reveals it's just an advertising fantasy. The other, called "Roadshow", features a woman cashing in on an Antique Roadshow program only to have the moment end with the same return to reality. The ads are running nationally during targeted specialty programming, game shows and on the real Antiques Road Show. The spots are being supported with print advertising in national dailies and online advertising. The campaign runs through February 29.
