AMAZON.COM SMILING AS IT INTRODUCES NEW LOGO

Amazon.com of Seattle, Washington has unveiled a new company logo in an effort to better communicate its brand and the relationship the company has with its customers. The logo now features a smile in the form of a upward curve underlining the company's name, "amazon.com". The smile begins under the first letter 'a' and ends with a dimple under the letter 'z', emphasizing that the company offers anything, from A to Z, customers may be looking to purchase online. Amazon.com lists more than 18 million items in categories such as books, CDs, toys, electronics, DVDs, home improvement products, software and video games. The new logo will be incorporated into Amazon.com's marketing and will be featured anywhere the company name appears. The new logo was created by San Francisco-based design house Turner Duckworth.
