VBN EXPANDING YOUTH REACH

Toronto-based Internet advertising network Virtual Billboard Network is expanding its reach to target the 18-24 year youth market. The company announced the addition of five new Web sites to its network bringing the total number it is offering advertisers to 240. Joining the VBN network is: Campus Access (www.campusaccess.com), Student Price Card, (www.spclive.com), Campus Connect.com (www.campusconnect.com), Tribe magazine (www.tribe.ca) and KickInTheHead.com (www.kickinthehead.com). The addition of these sites follows the company's announcement last week regarding the creation of a new alliance with Adsmart of Andover, MA, a U.S. online advertising network of 375 sites. The alliance allows VBN's advertisers the ability to target Canadians who are visiting U.S. Web sites that are part of Adsmart network and in turn allows Adsmart to offer the same ability to its advertisers, targeting U.S. visitors to Canadian Web sites which are part of the VBN network. VBN is a subsidiary of Gallop & Gallop Advertising. PR for VBN is handled by PYDEA Inc. of Toronto.
